Can anyone out there confirm that 72 and newer seat tracks only latch on the outside track? I recently bought some tracks off ebay and they were listed as E body tracks which I am going to use in my 71 Charger, however when I pulled them out of the box, the outside tracks do not have the arm needed to pull the wire to release the inside track lock. The inside tracks have the arm and spring as normal (to me).

I did some research and found a forum where someone said that it was 72 and newer only latch on the outside track which is news to me.

My question to anyone out there that might have seats that only latch on the outer track is whether or not this set up feels secure as I was recently told by someone else who has a completely different car that has only the one lock is that under acceleration he feels the seat move on the inside track somewhat.

My options are
1. fabricate an arm on the outer tracks to pull the wire to release the inners
2. lock out/disable the inside track locks/latches

I made a command decision and am making arms for the outer tracks.

I have a 72 b body drivers seat, and it has no wire release provision to inner, and no dedent on inner track. Inner is full roller, no latching.
They were getting cheap in late 72.
