71 ac belts

has anyone got a link for somewhere to buy the 2 "matched" belts for a stock 71 383 mag with air , mine are frayed. please don't tell me to go to the local "pep boys " or what ever , I've tried that at 3 places now and can't find 2 belts that are even close . I need a matched pair and I need a link because I'm in Australia and will have to buy online ! there has to be someone out there that sells these as a "pair " doesn't there ?

and on the same subject is it possible to run just one belt instead of the two or will it scream ?

I was told that to get 2 " matched" set will be nearly impossible. Not much help on your situation Poly

I always run Gates belts, they seem to be better quality, and I run two on my ac, but one always seems to have a bit more flutter than the other one, but as rrTor-Red says its almost impossible and I have never found a perfect match with two belts, but the Gates ones seem better.

I've heard the same about Gates. Guess it's a hit and miss kind of thing. When I get to that part of putting the belts on, I'm going to get several and see which set fits best. If I was Polywideblock here, I'd order a few sets and do the same, sending back the ones that didn't fit. I don't know who would ship to Australia though or how hard to get parts there
