71 B-body RR I have a couple of questions.

1. Window regulator hardware kit. Anyone get one of these kits? Correctness? I think the main complain is the "slider" on the repop are not removable/ cannot be replaced.

2. Side marker lights- On the bezels are the studs suppose to be threaded? Also, size and correct acorn nuts? I think they're a 10-24 thread(?)

3. Pentastar- Anyone have the dimensions for the emblem on right fender? Body shop didn't note the location and hung the fender. Not sure if I'll be able to find it from the backside or not.

Thanks!

This is a GTX but might be the same. If the side marker light bezels are like the 69 they are not threaded and the threads are cut with the speed nuts. As for size I have no idea.

the window hardware kit I've seen is sad
some of the metal parts are made out of plastic
you might get a bit or 2 from it if you are desperate
the regulator slides are sold separate (i ididn't see them in kit?) and can be replaced
there is a old thread on here showing someone replacing them.

That’s my car, the position pictured was carefully located from a ’71 fender that came on one of my ’72 Sats, not original to my ’72 RR/GTX. They stopped putting them on sometime very early in ’72 production.

I have several 71 side marker bezels...they all have threads of sorts...not sure if they were machined on or created when the nuts were spun on.

i have about a half dozen nos markers and a few nos bezels in my stash and
there are no threads on the bezels at all
the threads were created by the nut.

Those nuts are just like this, just capped

as mentioned, federated nuts use those, in 1/2" hex size

They are similar and yes, they are self cutting and enclosed but have something inside of it to protect from weather

yes, a sealer like the used on body seams... that's important on rear but not THAT important on fronts. Federated sidemarkers got a foam gasket to save that.

Nacho- When you said Federated, are you talking about the brand? I got a little confused, sorry

Aren't these so called "federated" sidemarkers being common for all the Mopar Models from 72 up to 80s ? like the "Federated" Corp Chrysler blue engine enamel

I gotcha Nacho. Not sure if that's the brand but much appreciated. Thanks.

I think the translation is "across the board".

no, is not about the brand or translation, just calling them like that being more generic to all the Chrysler corp products... is just what I thought it was called... as mentioned, maybe is my mistake call them like that?

Nevermind, that's off topic and I'm talking about diff pieces than the one being asked LOL...

No problem Nacho and appreciate your info.
