Hi All,
I'm about ready to tear apart my dash so I can get the pad rebuilt. Mines all cracked from 50 years of sun. I know most guys on here like ABCMoparts in AZ but I was hoping to find a reputable company a little closer to home (I'm in NY). I thought I remebered a company in NJ that did it but I can't seem to find them. Maybe they closed up shop.
I don't want an ABS core, steel only. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

thanks,
Pete

The ABC Moparts pads are very nice and Bob takes care of the business and the customers. In the years past, Bob is at the various Carlisle shows, whether it be Spring, Mopar or Fall show. With the uncertainty of the shows, give him a call to see if will be attending. That way, you or a friend could possibly pick up the pad and look it over, if the show do go on. You will need a core or buy it outright. The boxes for these pads are relatively large, so shipping will be a factor possibly in your decision.

Does ABC Moparts rebuild customer dashpads? I looked through their website and can't find any mention of it, only to buy pads already done.

I bought a 70 Challenger dash pad from ABC last year at Carlisle. There was a $175 core charge for an E body dash pad. I bought a core pad for $125 at the show, and got fifty bucks of my core charge back. The Challenger pad is very nice. They do use original dash pad frames on their dash pads.

I would suggest contacting Bob directly with questions regarding specific questions on any specific dash pad. I know that he will not buy heavily rusted pads and will not use your core if he should have concerns in regards to its structural stability. Like anything, the final product will be much nicer if your starting out with a nice core.

I called and spoke with Bob. He's sending me some samples of what colors he has in vinyl to best match the B7 blue interior. Thanks for the advice

I have also seen them and they look good. He will give you a core credit for your old one.
