For sale 71 Charger R/T, original numbers 440/auto, EV2, black stripes/vinyl top, dual color coded mirrors, Balck seats with orange seat inserts interior (very rare option),the seats look grey now, but are only sun fadded, air cond, light group, pedal dress up kit, chin spoiler,dual color code mirrors, BLACK STEEL WHEELS,3:55 sure grip rear, and the SUPER RARE vinyl top pattern rear window trim!!! The front/rear seats are not ripped/torn/seams missing in any way (all she needs is to be redyed on the inserts), the head liner is in VERY nice shape as well..
The car will need a resto, the roof will need replaced (or a good handyman’s project on the roof), comes with extra rust free hood (VERY HARD TO FIND), a good deck lid, car has partial build sheet, no tag..
Body numbers match motor/trans/VIN/door/rad support/trunk lip.. Car is VERY solid with original exhaust manifolds/H pipe/resonators/mufflers/machine gun tips still hanging off the motor to the rear.. The only thing missing from the car is the carb and the radiator, other wise she is ALL there, and VERY solid and rust free to include inner fenders/fenders/doors(which do not sag, and close effortlessly)/floor pans (front and rear)/quarters/trunk extensions/trunk floor (except for three spots of rust the size of a my little finger in the trunk)..
This car was sold in Atlanta and was in Alabama when I got it, the car has never left the south and is VERY solid and un-pilfered for parts,the car retains all of its hard to find parts still.. Has only been on the road for 8 years (the last time was regisitered was 79) and has either 91,*** or 97,*** origional miles on clock..
One of only 2,172 1971 Charger R/T’s produced (out of a total of 73,785 Charger’s, even less with air conditioning, and black/orange interior) or only 2.49% of the production total!! This Charger R/T still retains the original numbers matching “U" code 375 horsepower 440 Magnum engine, 727 Torque-Flite transmission, Sure-Grip rear.
