71 Charger R/T Tailight Housings

I had to source the parts for mine a piece at a time, housings, lenses and bezels separately. I need to know the size of the screws to mount the bezels and lenses to the housings. Or a source for repops.

Anybody with R/T's able to pull the screw and gimme a picture, length, thread pitch?

They are 8/32'nds but not sure how long they are? Seems to me off memory they are over 2" long.

Tapered head or flat head?

they are 1 5/8 long with a Phillips head, no taper and a thread cutting end. What you will probably find is if the lenses have been removed several times, the aluminum housing is stripped out. Your better off going to the hardware store and finding a matching head screw and cut the length just a bit longer than the original to get deeper into the housing.

I've drilled all the way through, tapped the housing on my LH one because most were stripped. Worked like a charm. Beware of the lower one by the reverse light though as the bulb socket is right behind it. Don't drill into the bulb socket.
