71 charger side marker lights

In curious when the side marker lights come on?

Do they only light up when in park? They are not used for signals also? Trying to figure out wiring.

Original car was missing that portion of the wiring.

What gear your in doesn't matter. Should come on with the marker lights (first detent) of headlight switch and also when the headlight switch is fully on (pulled out position.) I think that light switch is push-pull, been awhile since I drove the Charger in the dark.
They are not signals, so no turn signal.

No signals, just come up with parking lights, which of course keeps on with headlights, same as the parking lights
