71 GTX hood release cable

I bought a replacement hood release cable for my 71 gtx from classic industries and original end had a loop on the cable and the replacement has a ball type end.does anyone know how to make the replacement cable work?

I had the same problem with my 71 GTX. I had to cut the end off and make the loop with the remaining steel cable.
I called classic and was told they don’t make the original loop anymore.
