I've inherited my grandmother's 1971 4 door Custom Plymouth Satellite sedan. She kept it in a garage the entire time she owned it. My current project is replacing the windshield. Anyone have a source for a four door windshield? The two door windsheilds are being manufactured but I'm striking out finding a four door. I own a new 2 door windsheild if anyone wants to buy one. They don't fit the 4 door. Rookie mistake.

yep.

Try a glass shop and keep trying if the first ones don't.

Welcome from Missouri!!

They make 1967 4 door and wagon windshields.

They are relatively inexpensive but the shipping is ridiculous.

If they are made, a glass shop can get them shipped for next to nothing with their regular order.

Find out if they are actually produced and then take that information to glass shops until you find one that does business with a supply house that can get that part.

Thank you for the information on the 1967 4 door windsheild! That was what I was hoping.

When you are saying glass shops, do you mean windsheild shops specifically? If so, I have checked almost all of the windsheild glass shops around me. There is a glass shop I called yesterday that does house and auto glass. They come tomorrow to take a look. Thank you for all of your suggestions. I'm working on it!

Not sure where you live but I'm in an extremely extended suburb area between 2 small-ish cities (one 80,000 and one 45,000) and there are more auto glass shops in the area than I can keep track of.

They make a pile of cash from insurance work, 75% are independently owned and pretty much all have different policies on old cars.

Heck, you might even try safelite!

The good thing about 71 vs 70 and down is that 71 is a "modern" install with butyl (or whatever) sealant versus the rubber gasket of 70 and older that a lot of glass pro's don't want to mess with.
