I have a vinyl top on my car. Does anyone know where I can get the clips that hold the trim on the roof of my car, to the little studs? I've tried R/T but havent heard a reply. Any help wood be appreciated, Thanks!

Thanks Ron!. I contacted him to see if he knows. I do know that the original ones are black but not sure of the size and I cant get to my car yet.

Tom usually answers the phone in the am. I called him and had the trim clips for my '71 RR canopy top in 3 days.

I would like to see a picture of your actual vinyl top trim molding (the under side of it). I would also need to know the dimension of how wide it is as well as the depth of your particular molding. Also need you to count your studs so we know how many you need. I am retired now but still have many different types of clips and fasteners from my trim shop days. I might have what you need.

Another thing that sometimes confuses y'all younger guys is the color of these clips. It has been my findings from over 40 years of doing vinyl tops that the color of the clip makes no difference.

If I was to catch someone trying to remove my top trim to see what what color the clip is, well then either him or I am gonna end up with a bloody nose or maybe something worse. Look but please do not touch!! lol.

If I remember right you need 5-6 clips and on the ends you need clips with studs that go through the roof.

Thanks for the replies guys. Trimmer- I dont have the diminsions, etc right now. I'm out of the country in the "land of sand" til next month. I can get that info when I return.

Moparlar- The ends of the trim has a stud on them and goes through the roof. On the inside of the car, theres a pal nut (nut), that secures the ends of the trim. The top and the trim needs to be on before the headliner so I can secure the trim with the nut on the ends.

Thanks guys
