I am looking at putting factory a/c in my roadrunner since I live in Texas and wanted to check and see if anyone else has done this and what exactly needs to change to accommodate the system. Here are things that I have:

- New heater/ac box and components
- ac control module
- b body a/c firewall
- a/c dash frame
- duct work

The biggest question I have is do I need to change the radiator support. Can I use my current one or will it have to be changed out to accommodate a 26'' radiator.

Plus all the a/c components themselves.

Thanks for any help.

I just think you have to change the mounting holes for the radiator as all the supports are the same as they didn't change them per engine. As my 1974 Satellite came from the factory with a six in it and now has a 440 and I bought a 28" I believe and all I did was drill new holes to bolt it in.

Did the car originally come with A/C? If not, you can just make the opening wider and re-drill holes or source a new/used one and put it in. Me, I'd get a new or used one if my car didn't come with A/C. That's half the battle if you have everything from firewall back.

My car came with A/C but I was missing everything forward of the firewall or inside the engine compartment. All I had was a new receiver/drier. I purchased everything needed for the A/C, and other products, from Bouchillon Performance. Brackets (all powder coated)for the A/C compressor, new compressor, lines, everything.
