Thought I would bore you all with my "baby pictures". My father and I put this car together when I was in high school 25 years ago. The motor went bad and it sat for several years. I decided it was time to fix it up and I started to put on disc brakes. I got injured in the middle of that project and could work on the car. So, it sat some more. Finally this winter, my boys and I painted the engine bay and got it going.

The 426 hemi was from my wife's family. Her dad drag raced it back in the day. When my dad and I were originally doing this car, we looked for a hemi. We found this one and I went on a date with that guy's daughter the next weekend. I guess it worked out well for us.

My oldest son is in the passenger seat itching for a chance to drive. I did let him take the wheel for a while this morning. I don't know which one of us was smiling the biggest.

Awesome car and a cool story, they say everything happens for a reason. I really like the paint scheme and who wouldn't love a HEMI!
