    Ongoing/Current Resto-Mods:
Interior, purchased new items from Classic Industries. Previous owner was really into white and had painted all the Interior Door Panels, Dash Pad, A-Pillars, Kick Panels, Console etc.

    Purchased:
"Bright Blue" Door Panels/A-Pillars/Kick Panels/Carpet/Dash Pad/Bucket Seat Backs (Clam Shells).
    White Arm Rests/Front & Rear.
6-Gauge Brushed Aluminum Dash Panel Kit with "Carbon Fiber" Series Gauges by Auto-Meter/Speedo Sender Unit for Electric Conversion.
Go-Wing Rear Spoiler that I'll paint White.
    Molded Rubber "Plymouth" Floor Mats.
    Sound deadening kit for floor.
    Hush Mat kit for trunk.
    Steering Column Collar (Floor Mount).

I've removed the console as I'm not a fan of them in general.
I like the white leather seats and will keep them, though I may dye/paint the middle of them Bright Blue.

    Update: 5/29/19

So far I've managed to replace the A-Pillars, Kick Panels, Bucket Seat backs and all the Door Panels except the Upper Rears as they are still on Back Order.
Progress is slow as I'm working a lot (Swing-Shift/12 hours), and I feel "Old", lol.
Hope to get the Carpet in, Dash Pad mounted and Rear Spoiler mounted before Carlisle.
Installing the New Gauge Cluster would be great, but I don't want to jinx myself before the show in July.

    Future Resto-Mods:
'73 Power-Bulge Hood or a Scoop added to the stock hood. Amber colored High-Beams. "Black-out" the area behind the grill. '71 Side Markers. Respray the custom Blue/White Exterior.

        Thanks.

Hahahaha, a little white goes a long way in my book as well. I have seen some beautiful white interiors but it just seems it would be too much upkeep for me to keep it clean all the time. I'm gonna lay out all the panels/parts I removed and get pics uploaded here for folks that may be interested.

Very sharp looking and great car, hopefully there is not too much glare bouncing off that white dash pad.

Of all the white it's the worst part I think. The new Blue Dash recently arrived from Classic Industries and I'm hoping to get it in successfully before Carlisle.

Progress on assembly of Gauge Panel From Classic Dash & creation of Go-Wing support Jig.

Gauge Panel is "Brushed Aluminum" with "Carbon Fiber" Ultra Lite Gauges. Came with the incorrect Gauge Side Harness and no bulbs, quick call to Classic Dash and they took care of it, great customer support. Also using an aftermarket Electronic Speed Sensor. Should make life easier rather than trying to get the right mechanical unit to match my non-stock Tires & Gears.

          Classic Dash.jpg
          Dash 2.jpg
          20190615_162501.jpg Dash 3.jpg

Support Jig I made up for holding my Go-Wing while painting/sanding/clear coat etc. I don't have my garage setup with a bench/table/stool yet, so it was a struggle to say the least while wet sanding etc...hopefully it will help avoid what happened in the story below from happening again!

          Funny Story;

After applying Adhesion Promoter and Top Coats I let it dry for several hours. Thinking it was dry enough to transport back home in my car, resting on Bubble Wrap, was a comic mistake of epic proportions! Peeling the bubble wrap off my sticky wing was painful and humorous at the same time. Actually, wet-sanding the Top Coat to remove the "Bubble" impressions left from my gaffe, wasn't as difficult as I imagined it would be. Hopefully another top coat, followed by a couple coats of Clear and she'll be ready to mount.

Stay Tuned for more bone-headed adventures...

After 1.5 years of enjoying the ride, aka procrastination, time to move ahead on the interior upgrades. The first goal is to replace the old Column-Shifted Upper components on the Steering Column, with the Floor-Shift components. The question soon became, why didn't I just buy a damn complete replacement column and be done with it? I guess I needed a challenge and motivator, to pick up where I left off on the interior changes that started in the summer of 19. Carlisle 2021 is also a great motivator.

For the Column to Floor Shift conversion, purchased and painted new Column Collars "Bright Blue" (B5) to match the interior upgrades, see above. Ordered new Turn signal assembly, Ignition assembly, Upper Column Bearing, Shaft Coupler components. Shout out to "Cuda Cody" for great vids on rebuilding the column. Everything is out and ready for rebuild/paint.

Lots of Scotch-Brite discs and elbow grease. Wish I had a Sand Blast Cabinet.

I knew it wasn't gonna be pretty under the dash; dirt, dust, old wires, rust...all of the above

Dash completely out and ready to be refurbished. She was an AC car and I have the AC ductwork and proper dash panel on the way.

Slow progress cleaning up the old Insulation, Adhesive, and Shoddy Pad from the Firewall and Components. Haven't spent that much time on my back under the dash in 40+ years. POR-15 for the firewall after that, and then onto removing the AC/Heater Box for refurbish/rebuild next with new seals from DMT.

                Prior to cleaning...

First Rust-through I've found on the car...there's also a smaller hole on the drivers side in the same location. I'm going to try a fiberglass patch that's activated by a UV light, since I don't have any welding experience to speak of, and see how it works out.
