I'm researching my original paint colors, I have a GA4 paint code, winchester grey, the previous owner is telling me it was once a 2tone paint that he repainted 30 years ago, my question is I cannot find any 2tone color codes other than the GA4. what would the lower color have been? I have the build sheet also, not much on that though, any thoughts?

It should be on your build sheet. It will be V01 or V02 code along with paint codes

yep it has the VO1 but what i'm finding out is , that doesn't always mean 2 tone or single, any idea what the body paint EV2 means?

V01 is mono rone paint, V02 is two tone paint. If your car had a painted roof it would have V02. EV2 is Hemi orange paint. Do you also have a fender tag? Everything you need to know should be on your buildsheet. You mentioned it being a GA4 car. Does the buildsheet indicate that?

Didn't sebrings have a silver or gray lower body color?

...although that would be interesting on a silver car

Well, I have a mystery on my hands, my fender tag is GA4, but my build sheet wasn't adding up, I found it behind the rear seat back frame, never thought to compare the vins, they're different. so I looked further and found another sheet under the drivers seat frame in bad shape. I was able to get the last couple numbers from the vin on that sheet, that also didn't match, W.T.F? I know the car has only had 2 owners, the last a good friend of mine. he didn't paint it though. was the interior switched up possibly, cars in damn good shape so i'm not sure whats going on.

Very common that the car doesn't have have the correct buildsheet in it. Of course it's always a possibility that someone changed interior, but more than likely happened at factory. Not every car that left assembly line has a correct buildsheet in car. Post a pic of your fender tag

That's a cool car, 400 4bbl car. I have had a couple 72 Sebring plus cars. They all had a full or partial viynl top. I have never seen one I recall without some sort of viynl top. I thought that was part of Sebring plus package. I don't see a viynl top indicated on fender tag

never had the vinyl top, has some sort of sport suspension, rear stabilizer bar and such. getting close to paint and want to go back to original GA4 but without the 2tone. appreciate the help. have some pictures posted in some old posts when I started this resto a few years back, check em out, thanks again knk-mopar-parts.

if it is a sebring plus, it would be silver argent around the bottom, that would be the 2 tone paint, but, it would only show 1 paint color/code on fender tag

1- look at Prather's car- that's the original paint- silver on the bottom.

2-VERY common to have the "wrong" build sheet. Line workers grabbed the first seat they saw that matched their copy of the build sheet and didn't check to make sure a build sheet inside the seat had the same VIN as the car they were working on.

i found 2 build sheets in mine, 1 inside the springs of the lower back seat ( doesn't go to my car ) and 1 in the springs of the upper part of the back seat, it matches my car.

how do i post the "spare" build sheet here to see if someone has the car it belongs to ??
