Too much screwing around with adjustments to make this work right.
I'm in the same Boat! $350.00 for kickdown linkage is ridiculous! I still have
some time before I really need it but Wow!

I went ahead and scored it off ebay. I got it all for less than 300 shipped. There is another set on there for 250 plus shipping. I drove it today and without kickdown linkage the trans flares on the 2 3 shift. I'm not driving any more without it.
