Hi All!
I'm progressing through my restoration and installed the engine/transmission last weekend. I've stated to attach the linkages and I have a couple questions.
I have a 383/727 set up. I think the transmission throttle (Kick Down) lever is wrong.
The car had the wrong kick down linkage so I found the correct, three piece, set up. The hole in the transmission throttle lever is too small for the rod. Also, The adjusting instructions say to move that lever forward (against it's stop) during all adjustments. Even if I were able to connect the rod to that lever, I don't think I would be able to move it all the way forward.
You guys have helped me along to this point.
Any ideas where I can get the correct lever, or hole to hole measurements so I can see which one I have?

Thanks! 2014-02-09 15.10.20.jpg2014-02-09 15.10.34.jpg

There are a few different levers. The distance between the holes varies with the carb throttle cable attachment. The further the pin is from the throttle shaft, the longer the coresponding lever will be at the trans. There are 2 basic length and style levers. I have a few.

I assume it is a 69 you are working on? If it is i also have the correct 727 trans lever if you are still in need of one. It is also important to be sure you have the correct year and model kick down linkage for your car. Many sellers list it all as being the same for all models, years, and for 383 or 440 and there are differences which will affect fit and adjustment. PM me if you need correct pieces

Also you state you cant push the trans lever all the way forward to make adjustments which to me says your first linkage rod is too long. That first rod should be adjustable, if there isn't a little box with a screw in it that the rod slides into for adjustment you may have the wrong one.
