727 rising fluid level

Am using type F.
Isn't using type F an old thing and is anyone using ATF+4? Are you racing the car? Never used type F in any of my cars but have used the 4 in everything but a race car....and still using it in everything I own except for the wifes 22 Colorado. Been thinking about adding a Mopar sticker to it though......custom sticker that says my other 5 vehicles are Mopars

Ok...new update. And maybe Doug can chime in. @dvw
Talked with transgo yesterday and as this VB was monkeyed with, a TF-2 was a good idea. Transgo support said as the line bypass had nothing in the hole, that most likely was the problem. He said there has to be at least a spring and check ball or poppet valve and spring. So looks like im on the right track.
So finished the kit today and ran into one more hurdle.
The shuttle valve had no spring but a blocker rod. And it was short approx 3/16" to stop the valve from moving. As they're closed today, I can't call back til Monday.
But on CRT site, John Cope does a shift kit video and its near identical to transgo if not copied somewhat...lol.
He has a full length blocker rod to keep the valve closed and from moving.
My question is, I made a longer blocker rod for it. Will I have problems duplicating what John did in his install video? It is necessary for that shuttle valve to move or can it be on in closed or all the way in the body position?

Thanks in advance.
Mike
