73/74 Front licence plate delete option?

I saw an ad in Mopar Muscle Magazine for stripe kits or something similarly irrelevent. What I noticed, though, is they had a 73/74 RR in yellow with a different front bumper and lower valence thing that had no provisions for a license plate. Was this an option or something? Sure looked cool.

some states did not require front license plates. i know some chargers didnt have to have one if it was going to that state, so it makes sense that RR's were the same.

We didn't have front license plates in Indiana back in the day, and my rr still had the front license plate. I hung an Indiana University vanity plate on it...
