Hello All,
I got my 73 RR back from the shop 2 years ago, as excited as I was to reassemble everything, life got in the way. Go to a car show and if that's not motivation to get your butt in gear, I don't know what is.
Anyway, I'm going to be refinishing and painting (interior was factory blk) several metal & plastic parts, etc. (Eg. brake pedal assembly, emergency brake, metal bracing for dash install, bottom metal part of dash, interior trim) but don't know the type of paint or primer to use to do the job properly. I have the Parts/Service Manual on CD but was unable to find out the PN for the specific paints.
This is not an original car and I'm not looking to win any trophies but would like to restore the parts to original colors/finishes or very close to. Any help would be appreciated.
I'll try and upload some pics from when it came home. Still have to figure out what looks best for the grille, top chrome piece and middle?
Please don't be too rough on me for going with a 71/72 strip on a 73 car.
