If I wanted ti upgrade the Stock Air Cleaner/Filter, what/which one would someone consider?

For the element, an upgrade would be a filter like K&N though a paper filter still OSS more air. It is just the K&N will last a long time and since it is reuseae due to being washable, this becomes a cost savings.
As far as the steel air cleaner housing goes, is this part of the upgrade plan as well?
The MP units are nice with the bottom having a decent opening all around the perimeter just under a 1/2 inch. Or the other factory housing that has the trap door In The base. The "Fresh Air" housings are also very good.
Open element air cleaners are best for performance. The draw backs are, dirty looking filter and sometimes the base of the air cleaner doesn't fit the carb sometimes.

Yeah, I want to upgrade the Housing too. Didn't know where to start lookin for one that would fit.
