74 Charger SE. Head lights on/key reminder buzzer does not work properly.

As mentioned, the contacts for the dome lights and the drivers warning systems are diff ones Built on same switch.

the door jam switch is usually self adjusted (the copper sleeve at plunger is inserted by the door) once door is aligned and installed the switch at factory. If some of these are moved it could happen some of the functions could be not working propperlly,

Thanks for your advice on the lights on buzzer. It works now.

The key buzzer does not work yet, so I have to get the steering wheel off then to figure out what's happening with the lever.

Any additional tips are welcome! Do I need special tools?
if you jump out the red wires down the column will emulate the key is in. Jump the wires out and open the door to check if the key in buzzer works. If does, the problem of course is the switch Into the column.

yes, you will need a steering column puller

To jump out? You mean just unplug?

Link them together with a jumper wire or whichever way you find out to close the contact like the key is in and switch is sensing.

you can try to insert a small piece of wire, or even a paper clip on back of plug. It does handle ground so won’t short with anything around.

You REALLY need to purchase a 1974 Dodge Service Manual.

Ok! Thanks for explaining! Can't wait to see what happens!

The jumping wire is just a trick to discard/bypass systems on checking process LOL
