I found a tan with yellow tracer instrument cluster wire hanging loose: what's it for? It has a white connector at the end.

Most likely for a lighting option that you do not have. FSM should show that circuit.

NSS ground source. On 72/73 gets the seatbelt relay NSS signal to turn on the warning seatbelt signals if not fastened once you gears the car. I can’t recall any function for it on 74 since this wire actually reachs the interlock control box on its own interlock box plug.

tach must be plugged into the ACC source. Yellow mold on tan wire close to the brake pedal area. Actually close to this same plug.
