'74 SE Brougham Driver side Mirror

I am finally getting to putting things back together. While installing remote driver side mirror I could not remember or locate the correct location for the two loop cable retainer clips. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe they push into the small, square holes in the front surface of the door (the hinge area).
