I have found a 1974 Plymouth Satellite "Sundance" for sale locally, but there aren't any of the Sundance decals on the car. The interior is the correct style, but no exterior decals. I have emailed the owner and he claims that the car was ordered "decal delete". Is there a way to verify that it is truly a Sundance and that it was ordered decal delete? The fender tag is in place and he has the build sheet.

Steve

Should be on the fender tag, my 74 RR was ordered stripe delete, and the data plate reads that. Post your data plate ans me or someone else will decode it for u.

From the pictures, it appears to have the original paint but there is no sign of it ever having decals.

i believe you could order that interior in just a plain jane satellite that year.
i have never heard of a stripe delete sundance??
it sounds like another urban legend
there better be some documentation to back up that story...

Sundance.jpgThis is his build sheet. Was it a Sundance?

Hey Steve,
The picture you posted is pretty small and fairly low resolution. A higher res scan would help tremendously - although it might be too big to post here. Have you found the Roadrunner Nest? www.roadrunnernest.com specializes in 71-74 Satellites/RRs/GTXs, and there is a member that has done a lot of research on the Sundance package cars. His member name is: Smellslike1974. I would sign up over there and post your question there and send him a PM. He has a lengthy thread on the work he has done to his 74 Satellite Sundance. Hope this helps! Scott.
