Curious to decode and/or understand the block stamping on the driver side of a 400 B, casting 4006530-6. I bought the block for a stoker build and from what I can tell from the pan being a deep rear sump, the dip stick location in the oil pan and the exhaust headers, I believe this engine to be from a dodge truck. Additionally, there are no VIN stamps visible on the block casting. Crankshaft flange is drilled for manual trans.

Here is a photo of the passenger side pad - 8T400 2 13 - a 400 produced Feb 13.

Here is the driver side pad and what looks to be the following marking - 9 /\ .

Any thoughts on what these mean?

Additionally, I'm wondering if the crankshaft could be forged?

I'll know more when I open up the bottom end

Sounds like it came out of a truck, nothing special. It'll work just fine for a stroker build though.
