906 heads - are there small valve heads?

so i just bought a set of 906 supposed heads. The valves seem small to me. the heads are only cast #on the bottom. The valves seem kinda small - Too far apart. Does anyone know if these heads coul be small valves? the last set I remember looking at - the valves were damn near touching. Any thought? thanks. I only bought these heads to help him out. I just don't to find out that they are NOT real LARGE valve 906. Is there something wrong with these? thanks

All 906 heads have the same size valves from the factory. 2.08 1.74 there are no other valve sizes from the factory. From a 383-2bbl to a 440+6 barrel.

Now racers like to go with 2.14 1.81 and this may be confusing you.

Some early 4 bolt heads had 1.95 intake and 1.60 exhaust valves. Talk about lots of space between them.

Just google Mopar 906 heads and look at the images.

If you believed the 1968 road runner advert, they claimed the 383 had 440 heads. It did. So does my 290HP 383 2bbl.

they just seem to have a bigger gap between the valves. I'll take s pic and post it. to help show. but they seem small.

Here is a 516 head in the back with 1.60 Ex. and a 915 head in front 1.74 Ex. to compare the valve difference.
906's are the same exhaust valve size as 915's

appreciate it bro. Clearly I dont know much about chryslers. THe last set of 906 heads i had seemed to have bigger valves. that's why i was curious about these heads. I only bought em to help out a friend. I live in the desert and even with a fat 4 row radiator and aluminum heads, it still runs a little hot in the summer. thats why I a switched to aluminum in the first place. I can't run the high compression chamber heads w/ these particular pistons. Got a clean set 915's also...Just cant use em w/this bottom end. Thank you for the info bro. It did help me out. I think these 906 are ok. Ugly, but can be rebuilt. LOL Have a great day... David

not all 915 heads had 1.74 exhaust valves some had 1.60 exhaust valves.
