971 oil pan replacement 6 qt

FWIW, I going to try these two items to experiment with and possibly extend a pickup sometime this spring....

I thought on that BUT, depending on the pan shape it could not go deeper enough before meet with the front section of the pan itself… or move the pickup end to rear…

Dunno if you get what I mean

Went with this.

I ended up returning this one back to Summit Racing because Peter Bergman at Bergman Auto, (one of our sponsors), found me everything I needed for cheaper than Summit Racing. Oil pickup, windage tray, bolts, and gaskets. He even had a flexible billet oil dip stick and tube to get around the headers, but I didn’t need that. Call Peter when you are ready to order. He will definitely hook you up.

Now you mention the flexible dipstick tube… I’ll be needing a correct 73 and laters BB tube! They are made of unobtanium!!

The two MP pieces I have got and shaped to sway the spool mounts ended breaking just right at the neck where enters into the block. And all aftermarket pieces I have seen seems to be the same shape… straight and needing to be shaped.
