A 1972 Plmouth Roadrunner/GTX 440+6 BBL did they make one?

I predict that within the next 2-3 years, a 4-door 72 440-6 Road Runner will surface.

The "Brothers Collection" maintains some rare and desirable stuff.

Doesn't seem like a car that some brothers would own; no huge whitewalls, curb feelers, fur interior and tv antenna.

I remember the story vaguely, not sure 100% the true numbers
been discussed a few times on various forums too...

well, it is interesting enough...
Imagine buying that car for $480 back then!
Ha Ha!
As he says in the article, cars were everywhere!
Easy pickings...

Beautiful ride indeed....to bad the laws put in place at that time eliminated these sweet rides.
Love that air grabber hood!

Yeah, huh?
BTW: Very interesting story is the Pontiac Super Dutys.
For 1973 and 1974, the hand built 455s were outfitted with a selected solenoid and when the EPA were in to inspect the engines would run "clean"
The Pontiac engineers knew the EPA team would only spend 2 or 3 minutes at the engines being tested.
So, the solenoids would remain "closed" for 3 minutes and then open up after the inspectors left.

Alas, the Pontiac Super Duty was only a 2 year build, the LAST true great V-8 muscle car made in America for the era.
Better bring $100K "plus" if you wish to purchase one!

The brands that counted in my books pulled away from the muscle car arena at that time....lol...

100k, Huh? My buddy just sold his restored SD for around 80k.....

Any documentation on that?
Think about it 6 pack and hemi cars. Engines were installed at Woodward plant. These cars were not finished on the normal assembly line do to their production numbers if my info is correct. I believe Mr Hoover would have known what he was talking about.
Other than that bit of info no I have no official written documents.

The car in this thread as well as the red 6bbl Charger were built in STL.
