My Uncle John, may He RIP, was at Schofield Barracks that morning. He never talked about it, or the War, as you could tell His emotions were there...
As have I. I spent many a time on Ohau and at Hickam/Pearl in my USAF travels, and visited the many historical points and places involved on that day. Both my parents were serving and working for the USAAF during the War, with Pops in uniform, and Mom as a civilian in a command secretarial pool and the Aviation Cadet Center, San Antonio, TX. The tears of the Arizona Battleship, still to this day, cry and weep for the lost ones from that fateful day, 84 years ago. May they all RIP, and we must Never Forget...cr8crshr/BillI've been to the Arizona memorial twice, Gave me chills both times, RIP to these brave souls. I will always have the greatest amount of respect and pride for the bravest, most resourceful generation of our times.

84 years is longer away from the younger generation than yours , also the younger generation doesn’t get history taught to them. It’s the older generations responsibility to educate the younger generations. I hope you’re doing your part to help educate instead of just bitching about what they don’t know84 years ago & many of today's younger generations know nothing about it.
Most boomers don't know the truth about the attack and why/how the US entered that war.
