A Millennial job interview

Sad but true in many cases. I’m surprised she didn’t ask for a raise during the interview......

Yes, it is a parody but the best ones take realistic source material and run with it. This one is probably not too far off of the mark.

:realcrazy: :)

I could see that happening, poor little snowflake

I sat threw a few interviews when we were trying to get a shop helper. I seriously had one want to know witch office up front was going to be his he wanted a window! He didn't understand he had to actually work!
Had another start work made it to lunch and never came back we called he said it was to much work! There were quite a few more .

Terrible.

Funny stuff. How do I grab that URL? I want to send this to a friend of mine whose daughter reminds me of this chick.

In my trade, we'll go through a dozen to keep one. Seriously. It's bad out there.

I once had a kid out of college answer a phone during an interview. I just watched, figuring it was an important call about a sick family member. Nope, he just answered to bullshit with one of his friends. When he was done, so was his interview.

That is ALMOST to much to believe. WOW!

Yeah I hear ya. This wasn’t for some no skill labor job either. This was for a civil engineer position and the kid just came out of college. He was a different race from me and I only mention that because the way things go these days, I couldn’t even call him out without fear of being called a racist. I just politely said thank you and ended the interview.

I work in the Electric Utility business, and regularly did interviewing. Your last question as an interviewer is always "why do you want to work Here, what is your electrical experience, and why should I consider you for the position?" Here are 3 of my most memorable: all Millennials btw

1. " Because I'm extremely talented, and how long will it take me to get out of the physical thing and get a desk job?"
No

2."like, my electrical experience?, (sends text) like I worked at Auto Zone, like I tested like batteries, (another text) and like that stuff" (Last text)
Mom waiting in parking lot- no kidding
No

3."well, I really don't have any electrical experience. (Looks at watch for the 3rd time). I ask if I'm holding him up for something. His response - I have to get home in 45 minutes to help Dad milk the cows, then I work at the transmission shop until around midnight.
Absolutely true story
YOURE HIRED

And has turned out to be my best hire.

Moral of the story - always, always hire a farm boy/girl. They know what work looks like.
