A need to vent a little

Just a day ago a lady police officer in Omaha ,NE. serving a warrant was shot dead by a thug. Now I am NOT prejudice I grew up among the reservations out west. In fact when I fill out paperwork that asks race I pick the box that says other and then put human beside it. But this was in fact a person of color that took her life. What gets me is that this didn't even make national news! No buildings were burnt no marches were had. No riots no trouble over it what so ever. No speech from the president nothing said. This lady office gave her life in the line of duty yet the rest of the world just don't seem to care. I am embarrassed by our society. :icon_redface: May GOD be with her family.

I want to also say I don't think there should be trouble over it. I don't! I am just so upset that our news media don't highlight this and things like this to show ALL people what these officers face every day! And maybe that is why some officers react like they do. But to not publish this sort of things makes everyone believe it is all one sided.

I will say RIP to the lady officer & my deepest heartfelt condolences goes out to
all her family, her friends & her colleagues...

It's really sad we've gone backwards some 50+ years,
especially in racial relations now today, under our current leadership...

I'm appalled by especially all the police killings,
they are usually good people just doing a thankless & hard to stomach job
& all the senseless loss of life, victims or protectors,
black, white, red, yellow, brown, or what ever color/race or sex,
the media glams onto the story & sensationalizes/exploits it/them,
just to fit a certain/some {usually D)'s liberal/left}
specific Agenda/Narrative !!

Especially if it's a minority that is killed by an officer, of any color,
but especially white...

It's a complete double standard now...

How about the thug that took the lives of a family in DC? First he makes them get him 40k in cash before eating pizza and killing them. At least that is getting some air time. Im moving to the hills. I have a daughter on the way in October and I worry about trying to raise her in a society that's headed in this direction. My condolences to the officer and her family.

We all care, my son is police Officer. I worry about him every day. Again we all do care. I must tell you it hurts very much to know people take this risk everyday to be murdered by these monsters. Soon it will require major changes how we deal with these animals.

I think maybe i need to vent also. When your seen as a liberal who is labeled the way some of you think and write it makes me want to spit and curse some of you. Liberal never meant rewarding blacks men for being to lazy to wear a rubber and fathering children they will never support or be a father to. Liberal never meant rewarding blacks to not work and live off the government. It certainly never meant acts of senseless violence. Ive seen more lazy white people who work harder trying to get of work then actually doing some work than I've seen blacks. So whats the problem? I think society is still trying to over compensate for the prejudice against blacks from decades ago. I also think blacks in many cases may think there owed something,which of course there not.
Many years ago growing up in NYC most mason/cement contractors were Italian Americans and the laborers who work for them were all the same. I never saw a black or hispanic man ever. Now when you want your front brick steps replaced the company you hire has all Mexican or Southern American workers. Why is that? Why didn't blacks take those jobs like those Immigrant italians? My own personal beliefs are much of the trouble we see today with blacks can be traced back to the lack of parental guidance. The lack of making a child grow up understanding what personal responsibility means. A violent black criminal will kill a white cop as fast as a black one because that criminal does not see skin color.When these riots occur they need to be dealt with and dealt with fast by almost any means other than killing. Dogs,water hoses,gas,you treat violence with a swift hand and work out the details later. Its the only thing violent demonstrators understand. Its not 1964 and black folks were protesting about civil rights.
The only difference between my thoughts and other more conservative types is i do believe blacks we're subject to much discrimination. I do believe they were held back and did not have the same opportunity as non blacks. I feel there neighborhoods are held hostage to the drug epidemic and not enough is done. But that was then and this is now. A person can either sit back and feel sorry for themselves or get up and make something of themselves

I wanted to add that I've known and have many positive experiences with people of different ethnic backgrounds. Its only a small percentage that creates these problems. Last summer my wife had another operation to remove cancerous spots in her abdomen cavity,she's been fighting this for some years now and it was her second surgery. It was a Sunday night and i was with her all day in the hospital,her catheter was removed earlier and she was having a constant urge to urinate but couldn't. My wife has a high tolerance for pain and seldom complains but that night i saw her reach her limit. The pain became unbearable in a very short time. I ran into the hall looking for her nurse but she was busy with another emergency. I started to panic and this black male nurse came to my aid and although my wife was not his charge he immediately took action. He got a catheter and took care of my wife. He was compassionate and kind. Afterwards we started to talk and he promised me he'd look in on my wife during the night. I was so tired and so worn down,the day before i was getting my car and there was this young woman just completely distraught,hysterical calling for her father who had obviously just passed away. I couldn't get her out of my head and as walked out of my wifes room having seen her in so much pain,well lets just say i was not in good shape. That black man whose skin color i no longer saw walked with me to the elevator and reassured me the entire time that things will be all right. Good night and have a pleasant weekend

So what's the problem? You honestly don't know? For over 50 years now, the Democrat party, Liberals, have been busily cultivating a group of loyal voters. Have you never heard Lyndon Johnson's famous quote of “I’ll have those niggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years” in regards to the Democrats' Great Society plan. That's been the plan since the 1960s. They wanted blacks to be totally dependent on government for their housing, food, healthcare, clothing, and anything else they could get them to take, and once that dependency was established they knew the blacks would keep voting for whoever would keep the goodies coming to them.

You may not be happy that your party did this, and you may not like being painted with the same brush as those who did this, but you can't change the fact that Liberal policies are the root cause of all these problems. You go outside of Democrat-controlled strongholds and into Republican-controlled areas where self-reliance and personal initiative are emphasized and you don't see these problems. This isn't a black or white thing, it's a Liberal thing, and if you object to it you should look at taking off the blinders and find a new ideology to follow rather than spitting and cursing at the folks who point out the ugly truth to you.

I stay away from Race issues because a lot of people I know are racist and I cant trust my opinion will be a unbiased one. My fathers cousin was a state trooper and pulled over a car of Black guys and they randomly shot him in the head...but I like to look at people in terms of respect instead of color if your nice, well mannered I have all the time in the world for you.
