I have a very low millage 1991 S10 59000 miles. It sat in a garage most of its life. I am driving it as a daily driver now. The other day every time I opened the door the radio would change stations. It would just go to off station all static. Then I noticed it was the dome light that did it. With a little head scratching and checking everything else I noticed the horn had quit. At this point I was getting concerned. I am not good with wiring problems. I checked the fuses and changed the horn fuse and everything is back to normal. A mechanic friend told me it may have been somehow back feeding from one circuit to another. Strange to me but glad its all good now.

It sounds like your ground to radio may have gone away.

Find all the grounding points of frame connections and clean them. And check your dash grounds.

Check around firewall area, the harness was so close to the firewall sometimes it rubbed..S-10's & S-10 Blazers are famous for this. Ask me how I know. :BangHead:
