A pillar trim

Hi all I have some a pillar trims for my 69 satellite however before I install them do I need to warm the plastic up first to make them fit or should they go in first time?
Reason for the ask is I tried to dry fit them and they seem they don’t fit even thought they are the correct ones

The front ceiling trim and upper door side ceiling trims will need to be removed or at least loosened.

There is a gap and some of the screw holes do not Aline up

Where did you get the parts ? New reproduction, or used from an actual car.

...also, any chance of a better picture - not looking into the sun?

I realise the sun is probably something you don't see very often in Blighty.

Do the parts look kinda squashed up side-to-side ?
