Thats really cool. I placed third in Pa in 1974 with my buddy who I hired to work for me after graduation. We had a line up of Volare Plymouth 225 leaning power of tearer at a Mall in Camp Hill Pa. There was electrical tape around the battery post, a bad dual ballast resistor, a vacuum line on wrong, probably more but our biggest issue was we knew it had a bad spark plug but forgot to pack a socket to get it out. It was raining so we sat in car listening to radio wondering what to do. I went to parts supply and asked them if they would replace a broken spark plug, they said yes. Problem solved we broke plug off took it out with shallow socket went over got a new plug, hand screwed it in and drove car to check out line. No more miss. The inspector said this is one of the cleanest cars so far. It was our advantage he didn’t check spark plug torque! This was after we sat in car for over half hour listening to radio and watched a bunch of cars go through. My buddy bought a 67 Dodge Coronet RT real Hemi car for $500.00 during our 3 years at VoTech. He still has that car. Hasn’t been driven since 1978. He had Ag shop bore engine .060 to clean block up. Man those were the days.
