a833 question

what colour should a 71 a833 be ? bare cast iron?, engine colour? or black ?
about to paint the engine for the roadrunner and thought it would be a perfect time to paint the gearbox to , I have all new linkages etc so it will look a bit shabby left the way it is .
I have a quart of bill Hirsch hemi orange and was going to paint both engine and gearbox the same colour but thought id ask first

Bare nekkid - some blast n clear coat them, I did mine. But don't believe they were ever painted.
Paint if you wish, but I really haven't had anyone crawl under there and say ooohhhh, nice tranny.
