i was wondering if a 6 cylinder A904 cover will work on a 318 V8 A904 trans. the bolt pattern seems to be the same. from what i have seen in pictures they look the same except for the hole for the starter is D shaped on the 6 one and 360 deg round on the V8 one. if i hog out the 6 one round would it work? i have a 6 one and not a V8 one. they cost about 50 bucks and was looking to save some money.
