Do you know a fellow AA guy, Claude Lavoie?

Name sounds familiar, I'd have to put a face with it to know...

I'm horrible with names, unless I see them at a min semi-regularly

My altered ran in a few AA/FA events, never won an event
it was mostly Chicago style match races, everyone raced everyone

I ran alcohol/methanol & when in those events, with a lil' benzine to get flames,
simulate fuel, I got down the tracks that most would way overpower
it'd run 6.90's @190-ish on decent tracks, it later had a lil' wing on-top of the back of the cage
427 full roller Venolia Pistons Childs & Alberts alum rods (Joe Pisano) 4130 crank
with snowflake worked alum. L88 heads
this was at Sacramento Raceway

this is what I started with it was a 1806#s ready to roll 6#s per/cid
lil' 301cid Donovan full roller, Blown Mert Littlefield 6:71 35% over (on Gas)
Enderle Bug Catcher/180A pump, the way it sat, it was AA/Gas, I was 18
switch back & forth between methanol (45% over) & gas
depending what event I was running or class at the time
it'd get down most any surface

versatile, 7.90 S/E trim, on Methanol, run the #s easily & it'd run 7.90 on 114 oct. gas too
just change nozzles, low & hi-speed bypasses, springs & jets, less flow at the barrel valve
