I was thinking of routing my AC drip hose to flow over the gas line to help cool the gas on the way by. Has anyone done this or have any ideas on this? Thanks
Wouldn't hurt but wouldn't help either. Look at the design of the cool cans drag racers use. Those thing consist of a coil of 3ft or more of fuel line inside a can that ice can be poured into. The minimum amount of surface area the ac drip line would cover would not result in any noticeable fuel cooling
Even still the quantity of condensate coming off the AC drip is so little and really not that cold (maybe 60F). Any type of sleeve you install over the line will more than likely work as an insulator more than a heat sink Back to the cool can example those are designed to be surrounded by ice. (32F) with several feet of additional line, or for liquid CO2 –109.3 F. Basically you would get more cooling effect driving through a puddle on a brisk Spring morning than you would trying to cool fuel with the condensate off the AC system.
