Hi all
I've my dash basically all together but I've just realised the end if the temp switch cable isn't attached to anything and I can't find any reference in the FSM to where it should go.

Could some one tell / show me where it connects?

Cheers!

It runs to a lever on the back of your heater valve. Opens/closes plunger that lets more or less water pass through.

Ok so I've just realised I don't have one...

Is this what I'm looking for:

Wow these clearly aren't easy to find. Anyone have any leads besides eBay? I've emailed vintage auto parts about it. They seam to have them shown but who knows if they have stock.

Malicious,
That is the part you are looking for if your car is pre 69. The 69 looks similar but has a vacuum chamber mounted on the engine side of the valve. You can get rebuild kits for them as they leak on the inside of the firewall when they go bad. If you need yours rebuilt, there is a guy in California that restores them. His name is Jim Tucker. Phone: 760 749 3488.
He restored mine a few months ago. Charges about $100.00 + the ride.
I have a couple of them that would need the rebuild if you can't find one.

I have been looking for one of those cables but have not been able to find one!
Anybody have one extra that they wouldn't mind selling?
For a 1967 dodge Charger.

I have a couple of the cables but they are from a 68 Charger with A/C. Not sure if 67 used the same or not. I don't have a 67 parts book. The cable I have is PN 2809-041. It measures 32.5" in length and has the adjuster. Here is a pic $14.00 including the ride

From what I've read, the system is basically the same in the pre 68 setup except the cable pulls/pushes in the opposite way. Ie heat pulls the cable instead of pushes if that makes sense.
