I ran into this issue with a Mancini cable. The ferrule on the cable bottomed out on the sheath. I ended up cutting about 1/2" from the ferrule and cable liner to get it to go. $80 well spent....

Think I got it. Used everyone's suggestions. Used Holley #20-7, welded extension to bracket to make it taller, and relocated bracket towards the year. Now have WOT with about 1/8" of throw to spare. Thank you, all. Much appreciated.
