I was reading up on the value of adding a main fuse to protect the wiring harness in the string on upgrading headlights, and was wondering where the best place to add a main fuse would be? I had to replace the main fuse on my daughter's 02 Cougar a year ago, and it was lifesaver that it blew instead of cooking anything inside the car.

So, have any of you added one, or have any idea where in the wiring schema would be the best place to wire one in?

Yes protection is a must. On my driver I used a 30 fuse holder instead of a fuse link. Comes off of the battery post on the starter relay for the main harness feed. Be sure to get one rated for 30 amps and has a 10 gauge wire.

X2...... I did the same on my Charger, I just like the fuse idea better than the links.
