Aftermarket rim help .......

Looking to put some 18" Boss 338 ( 18x8 frt. & 18x9.5 rear) wheels on my 1972 Dodge Coronet. I don't want these big wheel adapters. Would like to have the rims be an exact fit with the proper backspacing & offset without the adapters & having the proper clearance....I do plan to lower the car a little & would like to keep tires & rims inside the wheel wells...is this possible ? HOW DO I DO THIS ? ON THE CHART BELOW:What does the ( L ) mean in offset ? ...open to all advice...

I never seen offset listed as a letter only numbers (ex: 0 offset or -23) or listed as backspacing (also numbers)

it says the offset is 2 (means 2mm closer to the front of the wheel from center)

remember that rims are 1" wider than listed so you have a 18x8 (8" rim) is actually 9". so center is at 4.5"

This is a what I found on-line as to offset...assuming L is low ,H is High, M is Med. which still doesn't mean squat to me
