Aftermarket shifter, stock console retrofit? Anyone done it?

Anyone left a factory console in one of these, but go with an aftermarket shifter? Would love to see some pics. My console is missing the shifter plate, and was originally a column car. Have installed several aftermarket ratchet shifters, but never into a factory console. Thanks.

I've had my console with two different ratchet shifters and they worked fine I had to modify the top plate. I put new carpet in my R/T so I'm not going to put the console back in. All or part of console are for sale too. Needs detailing and minor repairs.

Thanks,...mines a 75 though. Not sure what that console is from but mine isnt like that...
