Hi All. I'm not really a Mopar guy other than the AMC, Jeep and Torqueflite connection. Once a very long time ago I won the Mopar quick 8 with my Hornet drag car at the local track the very first year they invited the AMC's to the Mopar race. (it caused a little upset and I got protested for bringing an AMC)

The reason I am joining is my dad is cleaning out his attic and came across a Chrysler NOS bumper that has been stored a few decades from a closed body shop. It is PN 4046251 and the information we have is it is for a B body, 77-78 Dodge Monaco or Plymouth Fury. We have not unwrapped it from its original wrapping yet. I'm trying to verify the part number but I don't have any Mopar parts catalogs. I will eventually put it in the for sale section and I figure here would be a good place for someone who might be looking as opposed to eBay.

At least you're a cousin. Welcome from the central coast of Cal.

Part number 4046251 is the front bumper, or face bar, without nerf strips, for 1977 Fury and Monaco built after February 1, 1977 and 1978 Fury and Monaco, both two door and four door models.

The bumper for 1977 cars built before February 1, 1977 looks similar, but the hole positions are different due to a mount change from the single heavy internal reinforcement/mount to the two lighter separate mounts.

The bumper looks like the lower one in the following image which is the early style 1977 bumper:

The 1975-1976 Fury and Monaco bumper is shaped similarly but does not have the park/turn lights in the bumper. The lights are in the grill in 1975-1976.

Thanks for the welcome guys, and thanks for the bumper info Vaanth! Marlins are cool!

Here is a picture of my street Rambler. This picture is quite a few years ago with a relatively mild 401. Now it has a stroked AMC 401 with the same cubic inches as a fairly famous Mopar engine, 426. It's run an 11.05 @ 126 mph in street trim.

I was brought home from the doctors' clinic in one of these:

I've always had a soft spot for AMC stuff. Probably a birth defect. :)
