AMD door hinges

I picked up a set of AMD door hinges to replace the worn out one's on my 71 Road Runner while at at Carlisle. I was planning to paint them before installation. The hinges appear to be plated/galvanized. What's the best way to prep them so the paint will adhere properly.

Vinegar works well to etch the surface so that paint will bite. Wipe it down with vinegar, then degreaser, then a plain water rinse. Then a bonding primer.

I put them in the blast cabinet just to rough them up, epoxy prime/paint

etch prime would be fine

I don’t paint the rollers.
