AMD rear quarter replacement help (70 RR)

The dutch has nothing to do with those corners !! Left as is two things will happen (or not happen) ... 1) the side trim will be too long at the bottom - not a big deal it can be trimmed a tad BUT 2) the bottom trim won't fit at all - because the corner is about 1/2" too high - what I was trying to show with the yellow line.
I'm having a hard time imagining what you are saying. Do you mean 2" high vertically, or to the top of the car?

Keep in mind that these are rough fitment.

If your dutchman and quarter fit that well without modification, consider yourself lucky. My body guy had to do a lot of slicing and dicing to get everything to fit correctly and my trunk gutters and package tray were original and undamaged.

As previously mentioned, get the corner pieces you need, set the back glass in place and make sure rear window stainless fits the opening before you weld anything.

It sucks having to put extra work into these panels seeing how much they cost, but just be happy we have an option. Lots of these cars would be gone if we had to count on salvage yards to provide oem panels.

YEP.. and we had a member find out the hard way a few months back AFTER final paint !
Sucks to be that guy !!!

The line drawn on the tape is where the dip should be.

Who do I blame ... the sheet metal guy, the body and paint guy or myself ?

If you've ever wondered why you come across cars with these corners screwed down ... !

Another thing to look for on these AMD quarters is to make sure there is enough metal where the curved piece of the drip rail molding is supposed to be screwed to the panel.
