A killer day, the canvas artist & wife, both in car design, He is KIA, She was @..hey hey...Chrysler. Talk of a documentary film and asked me if i would exhibit with Him @ His next Show......not bad for a bondoe jockey i think. Im exhausted, but my Dream just got a major boost, an entry into mainstream so cal contemporary fine art market.....maybe la jolla & rodeo drive next year. Brian said, "im an Artist....YOU are a Tremendous Artist Jim!"
Think that might Feel Real Good? 31 years ive made private sales, making incremental steps towards promised land, today was a Bounding Leap......on Easter Eve.....not just artists, but car nuts too....how freakin Freudian is that? Happy Easter Mopes...bc

...And let me tell you, even if you are "just" a Bondo Jockey I am still impressed. IMHO, the really good bodywork guys ARE artists. I can't do it...

Darius, Hawk, Thank You!! The Day went very well, i met Wonderful People....the Woman Who owns the Gallery/Restaraunt running Brian's show was a Pleasure to meet, She's in my corner.
When People view my werx and shed Compliments, i always tell them that there are thousands across the country that can do it, many could do it better, One need look no further than Body Shops, and if i ever took in working apprentice, i would canvas the body shop world for said apprentice, it would be a straight forward translation of skills. My premise/theme has always been to tie the Arts to their most common of roots, the Trades......millions of Unsung Heroes to be found in the Trades, All Artists. I gave Brian & His Wife a reconditioned & purple oxided cam gear from a twin beech propeller dome, untouched, just the part on a square copper ingot.....the reaction priceless, They were amazed at the eccentric
ramping, the movement. Parts made moons before CNC, turning cranks, that operator may have made 5 a day, for a few dollars, a close tolerance criteria. Unsung Heroes......They get It. Happy Easter B'bers
