These guys have been doing these rescues for six years on the coast of Namibia Africa. Definitely beyond what anyone would do.

Yikes.

...but good on them.

Thanks Auggie! I hate to see any little (or big) critters suffer. God bless those guys!

I'm not sure how accurate this statement is but i've been told that some American Indians believe that you are judged by all of the animals you have had contact with when you die. They decide if you go to Heaven. That is not my belief but I do like it.

I was told long ago this was what the Lenape Indians believed:

Kinda sounds like "judgement day" in the Bible.

I've adopted and fostered rescue dogs for about 3 decades. I used to volunteer at an animal shelter but couldn't take it. I left when there was a cat with a badly infected eye that I wanted to take to the vet since the manager of the shelter wouldn't do it She wouldn't let me, the eye ruptured, it was gross and unnecessary. I have worked with Greyhound rescue for a long time and have heard abuse stories that I will remember for the rest of my life. I have seen abuse cases while at the local vets office and I wish I could find out where those people live so I can pound the snot out of them. And they brag about this being the Bible belt. Too many phony Christians.

Well, even in the "Bible Belt", the percentage of genuine Christians is small... just like anywhere else in the country. Anyone who truly loves the Lord, will have respect and care for His creatures. That's why I follow Him and not some guy in a robe or with a snazzy tv show.

Amen, Brother. I would ad: some guy in a robe with a crown who lives in a palace.
My Pastor is a very good man who genuinely wants to help people. This church is one of the few left in this state that has an addiction ministry. With the govt trying to shut down this church, literally almost on the doorstep, I question the sacrifice of time, energy and resources. He preaches about bad govt, and I know how busy he is but you can't just preach about something like that and think that will improve things. If you want more Christians in govt., you have to participate. What is happening to this country is a result of not enough Christians taking action. I've asked him what would happen if they spent as much time pounding on legislators as they do on drug addicts?

There video I saw a while back it showed an octopus trapped, the people were able to set it free and after doing so it would follow them up and down the beach. I think it showed up for a couple of days after that to be near them. Pretty amazing!
