Another ebay rant- bad buyers...

EBAY seems to be the topic as of late. people buying from you can and ARE demanding. if they would learn how to read, things might flow alot better...YA THINK???. i am selling a ton of sound gear and bass guitars on ebay. i spend most of my night answering STUPID QUESTIONS....that are clearly stated in the description of my items for sale......i feel your pain my bretheren....but its still the best game in town if you want to sell something quickly. my main BITCH with EBAY is all the fees involved. ebay wants their cut,,,,paypal wants their cut. did you know that on most items you are charged 14% average overall fees?.....amazing huh. now they are holding your money for 20 days before you can get it. the rich get richer.....and us poor schmuxxx are left holding the ball..GOD BLESS AMERICAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.............(pffffffffffffft)

Yea, I was definitely taken back with them holding "my" money like that!!! It is up to their descretion if they will give it to you .... that's really over the top! Fees are bad enough, and forcing you to use Paypal is bad enough (who they own), but controlling your money!!!
They may be the big game but I'll not sell there anymore. There are other speciality sites like this one to sell appropriate items.

I've had some listings pulled lately beacuse my description offended someone. MANY calls to e-bay and I was finally told there are "Secret" e-bay policies they don't tell us because if they tell us, we will find a way to get around them. I asked him how we keep from violating them if we don't know they exist, and he said we just have to "guess", hope we don't re-offend. I'd been selling this same item for years before these were pulled.

OK, I got past his "offense" by re-wording everything in the listing, plagarizing at least 4 other sellers, and watching their posts to see if they were pulled. None pulled.... I got 2 sales off, then suddenly mine was pulled AGAIN, because it wasn't legal for sale in CA. I get the feeling one of the other sellers keeps reporting me because I've been selling mine so much cheaper than theirs for all this time. They must have an in someway for sure.

Yeah Ebay fees are getting out of hand as well as some new rules....

1099 for 10K or more sold in 1 year
Ebay and Paypal are the same company which collect's from everyone twice
Seller can not leave feedback so Buyers can screw you and nothing happens
Ebay gets 9% of all shipping cost besides the comission from the item.
They are eliminating contacting each other to discuss buisness
use paypal, no item, open complaint, then goes no where!!!
Folks can have lots of negative feedback and never get banned.

The list goes on and on..... Its best just to found car/parts and attempt to purchase or sell privately and avoid Ebay fee's and nonsense IMO.

I've had excellent results with Craigslist and 90% of the time, I don't have to ship it but then again, I live real close to Houston and have well over 6 million potential buyers within a 50 mile radius....and it's free.

I don't leave feedback on ebay. I don't use it very often and I am very busy.
