Was running fine when I put it on the lift to change the wheels.
Tried to start it when I was done and it would not start.
I chased and replaced everything. Only have intermittent spark will not even try to start.
New plugs, cap, rotor, coil, ballast resistor, points gapped at 18, carb,
Spark at the points, plenty of coil spark, spark at the coil dist cap.
It is getting gas. Very good battery turns over quite good.
I did not replace the condenser.

How may miles on the engine?
Could be a possible timing issue.
Is the distributor turning?

Shouldn't you be posting your Gremlim problems on an AMC website?
LOL I sold my AMC Gremlin

142260 miles
I set the timing to 5* btdc recommended setting per the shop manual with high miles when it was running, setting is to be 10* btdc with low miles per the manual.
Dist is moving ever so slightly.
I brought up # 1 cylinder and the rotor was nearly right on the money.

At 142,000 miles, I'd pull the timing
chain cover. It sounds to me that
timing has jumped. Hopefully you
don't have the dreaded nylon timing
gear. Pieces can end up in the pan.
It's very possible the timing chain
has stretched some.
This, of course, assuming voltage
requirements are met with required
components.

Steve stupid question the rotor the right one alot of mis boxing with the CH300 and CH 303's.
